Agenda for the ADS National Convention and Show

Wednesday April 9

• 4:30PM Registration Desk Open

• 4:30PM Show benches open for entries

• 6:00PM A cash bar will be available during the cocktail hours

• 7:00PM Buffet Dinner will be available by reservation to those who wish to pay using the registration form

• Entries for the Photography Section will be accepted from 12:00 Noon through 8:00PM

Thursday April 10

• 9:00AM Entries for horticulture will close

• 9:30AM Judges Coffee

• Judging will commence when classification has verified placement of entries

• 1:30PM Boutique will open

• 3:00-8:00PM Show will open to the public

• 4:00-5:30PM ADS Board Meeting

• 6:00 A cash bar will be available prior to dinner

• 7:30 Awards Banquet

Friday April 11

• 8:00 Hybridizers Breakfast

• 9:30 Workshops presented by Ted Snazelle and Kathy Welsh (Ted's lecture is the convention Judges refresher)

• 10:00 Show is open to the public

• 10:00 Boutique will open

• 12:00 Lunch with speaker Ray Rogers

• 3:00-5:00PM ADS Bulb Auction

• 6:00PM Buses leave for Lewis Ginter for cocktails and the annual meeting and dinner with guest speaker Frank Robinson, Director of Lewis Ginter Botanical Garden

• 11:00PM take down show

Saturday April 12

• 8:00AM Miniature Breakfast

• 9:30 Board buses for garden tours

• 12:30 Box lunch at the home of Ross and Betty Hotchkiss

• 2:30 Meeting of the new ADS board

• 4:00 Continuation of the Bulb Auction

• 6:00 Cash Bar before dinner

• 7:00 Final Dinner of the convention with dancing to follow

Sunday April 13

• 8:30AM Bus departs for optional tour of the garden of Brent and Becky Heath in Gloucester VA

• 8:30AM Judging School III will begin

• 11:00AM Bus departs for optional trip to Dulles Intl. Airport with estimated travel time of 2 hours and 15 minutes (lunch served on board)

• 5:30PM Bus returns to hotel from Gloucester
